Sandra is an emerging, self-taught artist from New England, currently living on the South Shore of Massachusetts. After graduating college with a Medical Laboratory Science degree, Sandra attended a “Paint Night” class with coworkers, which reignited her passion for art. Since childhood, Sandra has always been drawing, painting, and crafting, but did not seriously pursue her passion as an artist until 2023. While living in Maine, taking a break from the stresses of the medical field, Sandra began her painting journey, simultaneously embarking down a spiritual path that has had a profound influence on her artwork. To date, Sandra has placed in several international art contests for her floral and abstract work and had her painting, “Transformation” featured in the juried gallery show, “Yellow” at Munka Studio in Lewiston Maine. Sandra continues to learn, grow, and refine her art in the realm of nature-inspired creations, spiritually-inspired dreamscapes, and vibrant abstract expressions.
I firmly believe that nature, sunlight, and connection are the best remedies for human suffering. The culmination of my life experiences, education, vivid dreams, spiritual practices, and nature itself, deeply influence and inspire my creations. Working with acrylics, through earth-toned and vibrant color palettes, lots of gold accents, and organic forms, each painting aims to capture the sacred in the everyday and bridge the gap between the natural world and the depths of the human spirit. My goal is to invite a dialogue between the viewer and the Universal energies that connect us all.
